i totally agree. These episode within the context of the past seasons has sown just how afflicted the whole system is afflicted. In these episodes we see lawyers, jurors, cops, a judge and a witness found badly wanting. I can't see a clear win for the law in exposing cops who weren't really the problem.

I thought this was because as mentioned below, she can afford to, but also because she's older and had some experience of this situation. We see that her age isn't detriment all the time. I also suspect she feels less like she has something to prove.

Are we seeing a turn in Alicia's fortune as her husband has been redeemed? She seems more potent politically though less help to the firm in all matters. It was nice to see how Peter's redemption affects her social structure. I wonder if Maddie isn't the sort of character that could develop Alicia's career in politics

Didn't they reduce Leo's screen time because of the actor's health. I always thought it was an interesting insight into POTUS's mind. He no longer needed an equal, arguably someone better than him, but needed a subservient Chief of Staff who knew her place.
