I almost need a spotter's guide."  This hints she's seen multiple Doctors beyond 11, and 10 shouldn't count until the Library. So we're definitely in for more River Song antics for a few more years.

Obviously, you've never experienced the Classic series, which, seriously, we had to deal with GREEN BUBBLE WRAP MONSTERS.

It was still better this episode than in others this season.

People were already bellyaching last week when his role in the 50th was SPOILED.

There's no good reason why they couldn't have had McGann come back as 8, since he's really only had the movie.  Some fans are divided if that counts, being as it was "American", while others don't have much access to the audios/books and consider them EU, much like the various Star Wars peripheral stories.
