I kind of hope that The League is trying to pull off what Robert Anton Wilson did in the Schrödinger's Cat Trilogy. Just introduce more and more slang through the course of the story until in the very last episode they aren't even speaking English, every single word is in their invented bro-bonics.

Got book 1 of the deluxe edition for my 17 year old cousin. Hopefully it's compelling enough for him to seek out the rest, because it's basically one of the best things you can show to a young man about growing up.

Yea, it's basically what would happen if Tyler Perry were a bit less churchy and a bit more out of the closet.

Holy crap, Noah's Arc got a shout-out. I could have sworn I was the only person who has ever seen that show. You go Bamford!

Never let it be said that you can't make a living by gushing about anyone who is willing to talk to you on a microphone.

Hayes Carll's "I'm Grateful for Christmas This Year" is kind of devastating, but also the perfect summary of how the holidays feel as you grow older and your family gets smaller. http://www.youtube.com/watc…

This season has been better than last, but it seems that the longer The League goes on, the worse it gets at handling its set-ups. They want to get to the punchline(s) so bad the set-ups are just barely sketched out. While the riffing and the punchlines are still funny (like tonight's "you had a break through!"), they

Love it, of course, but the whole "Jimmy puts his hand up to the camera as the video starts, as though he's turning it on and it isn't a studio cam with a big union guy operating it" thing is a bit ridiculous.
