I thought the Rodriguez section of Grindhouse was fairly popular and well-received. I mean, I thought it was pretty good. But reading the comments on here, it seems like its reputation is not as good as I thought it was.

Yeah, I turn across there pretty often. They show Duel pretty regularly, and it's one of a handful of places that's showing The X-Files again on cable. In addition to the fung fu movies, they've been showing a lot of grindhouse movies, in addition to b horror movies. (Some of which are probably fairly well known to

What really gets me to roll my eyes, and maybe this is what you're talking about, is the Professor Smith persona he slips into whenever he's relating details about some sector of nerdom for audiences supposedly not in the know. And he never says anything insightful. He always repeats the party line, cookie cutter

Yeah, and just using the word, grammatically correct or not, sounds so goddamned pretentious.

Yeah, I guess any mention or pic of the Playboy Mansion I've seen in the last few years has involved Cosby in some way.

Yeah, and something else, hasn't that been an aspect of Cosby's personality that's been fairly well known for years? Which now, in hindsight, looks pretty suspect?

Yeah, the intros were interesting, and maybe even a little creepy. Same goes for the first several seconds after that.

Oh man, thanks for taking the time to answer. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Batman & Robin's probably my second favorite of the original series, behind the first movie. It's cool that you got to visit the set. And it's cool Schumacher was a nice guy.

What was Batman like?

Point's been raised.

Yeah, and she just doesn't do it for me.

Short Germans. . .

This is probably not going to be popular, and I really hate mentioning it, but yeah, I'm a little surprised at her casting. I mean, I really hate to say it, but she looks old to me. When I saw her announced among the cast I figured she had to be around 50. (Wikipedia confirms it.) Really, I thought she looked old ten

Her casting would make sense at that point, then. At least for me anyway.

Oh man I'm tired of Lorde. Though I can see it.

Guess they could retcon it into Spectre somehow.

Yeah, that was kind of my reaction, too. Same for Skyfall. Doesn't really feel like a Bond title. But in the brief amount of time I've known about it this morning, already I'm used to it.

I read the first Matt Helm book back in the late summer of 2013 and fucking loved it. Dude's in retirement when a woman from his past comes back and sucks him back into the life. If I remember correctly, it's told in the first person and there's a passage at one point where he says in all the years since the war he'd

Seconded. . .

The original Bill & Ted is one of those movies I grew up watching and one of the things that sticks with me to this day is when they ask the Circle K clerk some history question and she's all, "I don't know. I just work here." That's something I find myself saying frequently. "I don't know. I just work here."
