God, I hate to be this much of a geek, but you're right. That'd be awesome. (The excitement level of my reaction is similar to Jeff Daniels's line in Dumb and Dumber: "You know, Lloyd, just when I think you couldn't possibly be any dumber, you go and do something like this. . . and totally redeem yourself!")

I mean, they did look a lot alike, didn't they?

Didn't watch it. Had to look it up on Wikipedia. It's new, I guess?

Yeah, then you've got The Venture Bros. version.

It was Mechagodzilla, wasn't it?

Jason Narvy who played Skull's got a PhD.

It wasn't until years later I ever heard of Voltron. Still haven't seen a single episode of it. I've got a friend of mine who's closer to 40 and he watched it as a kid and loved it. He's always talking about how Power Rangers copied off of Voltron.

That would be awesome as fuck. That would be a good idea for a comic story. A gang or something steals these suits to carry out their crimes.

You and me both. By the way, which did you like better?

Yeah, I always liked Billy. For one thing, he was one of the few constants during all the changes in the early years. I always hated it when he eventually left. Though by the time it'd turned in to Power Rangers Zeo I wasn't really watching any more.

Love your username, but I love even more that your avatar's the package art for the figure. Congratulations to you, good sir!

Yeah, it's like crack for kids. How could you not like it?

As I said above, 31 for me.

Always preferred Tommy when he was green as opposed to white. Green Ranger just looked better than the white one did.

Huh. That's good to know. Thanks for looking.

On a tangent, remember the figures you could get at McDonald's when the movie came out? I remember those being some really nice, solid figures. Better than anything ever put out by Bandai. Does anybody remember their movie figures? They were just chrome versions of the regular figures.

Yeah, I remember reading the story about him a few years ago. Your heart couldn't help but go out to the guy. I guess my source of confusion was why they would give him shit if he wasn't out at the time. So he must've not been officially out, but was struggling with it. Which sounds like the absolute worse time to get

You know, I saw that as one of the fun facts on Toy Hunter the other day. What monsters did he voice? Anybody know?

Yeah, that mid-90s CGI in the first movie is just atrocious.

Man, I'm with you on this. Way more excited about a possible big screen Power Rangers movie than a man my age probably should be.
