Nah. Better as a side character - Baba Pop-Pop or Gangy Oje.

I'm not even American, but watching Bubba's performance made my ladyparts hard. That was a brilliant, epically game-changing speech. Who gives a fuck if the Dems can't find anyone "better" than some actress - it's just sideshow entertainment for convention delegates. It's not like they made her the closing keynote

Apparently MCD gave up his dream to study acting in university to take care of his sick mom (doing menial jobs like ditch digging and security.) He decided to finally try acting again after B.I.G. was murdered (left him terribly shaken and made him re-think his life.) So yeah, he was pretty grateful for what he had.

@edwardsung:disqus I'm obviously only speculating here, but I really don't think it's Walter's nature to give up his own "perfected" recipe so easily - especially not to someone who was in a competing drug cartel. Walt can barely stomach the idea of Jesse cooking his meth without him - why would he tolerate anyone

You nailed it - my mind was racing during that scene. I honestly thought something terrible was going to happen to Jr. when he was pushing the baby around the pool.

I'm also confused about the time line. I was assuming that 3 months had gone by, from the time when Mike is planning his departure, to when Walt finally decides to quit. (This is due to the fact that Marie mentions that she and Hank have had the kids for 3 months now.)

Nah, pretty sure it was pot in this scene. Pot can make people sleepy (not that I would know that from experience. *Ahem*) Jesse was asleep on the couch. Meth seems to have the opposite effect.

Smoking a bong is hardly "falling off the wagon". Jesse sheepishly putting it away when Walt arrives is akin to an embarrassed teenager hiding a bong from his dad.

My guess is that Walt is protecting Jesse. Declan is possibly pissed that Walter is out of the game, so he goes after Jesse, who will likely refuse (after Walt boasted that both he and Jesse were the "best cooks" around.)
