Yeah, with Luke Cage it was especially noticeable. The first 6 episodes or so were great, and the last couple were okay, but that middle stretch — yeesh. That's not a pattern that bodes well for Iron Fist, but maybe Marvel is trying to change it up a bit.

"Haron has argued, as many have, that an 'Asian Danny Rand could’ve made an even bigger impact.'"

It probably doesn't at all, unless you enjoy the source material and that helps you enjoy the show. But it's not Important, if that's what you mean.

"Even the choice to cast Jones, in spite of the furor over Hollywood’s ongoing erasure of Asians and Asian-Americans, was par for the course."

Suicide Squad?!? That movie wasn't supposed to win anything! Thanks for nothing, Hollyweird.

Yeah this will definitely have to adapt. SK had a pretty intense history with Storm that they will probably have to scrap that. SK wasn't a particularly memorable villain in X-Men, scarier in concept than execution and difficult to portray in the comics medium. Honestly, if they do it right, this could end of being

Or perhaps because of. And she is right to do so.

He's an Irish (?) guy that sings kind of like Marvin Gaye, only less cool and with questionable songwriting skills. As soon as I read this article, that song of his about "loving you until your 70" popped up in my head. Which bugs tremendously. What is he trying to say? That he's going to love his girlfriend until she

No. But it was the first thing I thought of when I first saw the devil with yellow eyes, and everything I've seen (including David's new behavior that both is and isn't like him) strengthens my belief.

Agreed. Though saying the X-men films have "pretty shitty continuity" is like saying Donald Trump has issues with reacting appropriately.

No kidding.

Right, which also pretty much means the parasite is The Shadow King, which I've suspected since I first saw it.

Sorry, got nothing for you. I love the show. But I can definitely understand how it might not be everyone's cup of tea.

I had the exact same thought.

It was good. Better than the source material IMHO. Ruth Negga in particular took a very poorly drawn character from the comics and made her amazing.

I doubt it. They've got too much story for this season. They desperately need to get Angelville out of the way so the actual plot can finally start cranking to life.

Judging my the response yesterday, the answer is, "No, and shut up."

That is not an entirely accurate way to describe this change.

Appreciate the sentiment, but I haven't heard from a commenter yet that considers this an improvement. So . . . not so hot on the dedicated minority, then?

Ugh. This pop out looks like garbage. And all the comments, no matter how large, are squished in a few inches on the side of the browser window. WTH?
