New York Supreme Court is trial court. Court of Appeals is their highest court. It's confusing, I know. Who knows why they decided to do it that way?

Mainly, it is because even well-educated people have very little idea what the Supreme Court actually does.
Gross.
True story: my father once told me, during the Bush era, that he didn't understand why W didn't nominate Judge Judy to the Supreme Court.
Is this your first time visiting?
Oh, this will be a fun game. In terms of left to right, here's the continuum I would posit:
That's what I came here to say. I know that's how she is portrayed but I think she is more center-left.
Yes. They get a bit screamy at times but they generally have pretty intelligent discussions.
Maher is fine. I definitely don't agree with him and find him insufferable on certain topics (like religion), but in my mind, that means he's less likely to pander to me or any other liberals and more likely to give an honest assessment of something, popular or not. I think it's an important voice to have.
I love Inferno and I thought it was a great resolution to Madelyne's arc, though a tragic one. Also keep in mind that Illyana Rasputin bore almost as big a burden of that story, but her background is also too complicated to get off in a single move along with everything you would have to do to make Inferno.
Inferno is a great one, but it's more suited for TV due to a massive cast, multiple huge storylines that, though they go in different directions, interlock pretty hard (try pulling out any of the X-Men/X-factor, New Mutants, or X-Terminators arcs and it kind of falls apart). As you mentioned, you would also need…
Are you thinking of the X-Factor arc where Nathan Christopher gets zapped into thre future? I think that is actually Louise Simonson, but she was also very good and worked closely with Claremont.
It will, and I suspect it will be similar to how it was in the comics, where Professor X doesn't find out he has a son for a long time until Legion starts up shit on Muir Island, and he and half the New Mutants team have to go inside Legion's head to determine exactly what his deal is. If I had any faith in Fox's…
Meh, I am not convinced Syd is even a real person at this point. Wasn't Syd one of Legion's original four personalities in the first New Mutants arc where he showed up?
There would be very little point in the show in he wasn't.
After watching the first couple episodes of Legion, I am confident that Singer's influence as producer can be minimized. Legion is the best thing to come out of that shared cinematic universe by a wide, wide, WIDE margin, despite Singer's clinging dingleberry of a producer credit.
What did you want here? News? Sources? Anything more than conjecture?
That doesn't shock me.
The one I was thinking of at the time was Tarsem Singh's The Fall, though I'm sure there are other examples.
Some religious friends of mine reacted in horror when I mentioned that I would consider letting my five year old watch an R-rated movie. Of course, it depends what movie and why it's R-rated. There's PG-13 (and maybe even PG) stuff that I wouldn't consider appropriate. I had to explain that the MPAA is a bunch of old…
