That sucks. I saw this last weekend and really enjoyed it. I feel like it didn't get the credit it deserved among critics (really, Richard Roeper) who otherwise usually have decent taste.

*spoilers, if you care*
Swinton could conceivably play the Emerald Witch in this one; it is never quite confirmed what her relationship was to Jadis/the White Witch. And Swinton has the acting chops for the critical scene in this novel/movie.
Very few characters return from the third novel to the fourth. Eustace is the only major one. All the others (like Caspian) are so old they would need to be recast anyway or (like Aslan) appear so sparsely there's not going to be an issue. (Also, Aslan is CGI, so . . .)
Silver Chair is much trickier adaptation than the first three. It barely features Aslan at all and its protagonists are ruthlessly unpleasant.
Prince Caspian was terrible, but to be fair, it was also easily the weakest book in the series. Dawn Treader had potential but was too pedestrian in its adaptation. Same goes for the first movie, which I found boring because it was almost TOO faithful to the book.
You mean Emerald Witch, and no, I think they had better use Tilda Swinton again, if they have any sense at all.
I actually enjoyed these books on the whole, and Silver Chair is probably my favorite. It features three main characters that spend most of the story being terrible to each other and has something to say about the nature and purpose of belief, even if that belief doesn't square with objective reality. This could be…
Ssh. DC will hear you and interpret that as a dare.
NO BLOOD FOR KYBER CRYSTALS
Missoula's nice when it isn't snowing.
That has always been the most irritating thing about Star Wars, from my perspective. When they introduced a planet that was all city, it nearly broke my brain.
I didn't think so. I saw it last weekend and was surprised at how much I enjoyed it (at least as much as the first one).
Seriously, guys, what is with the contempt for the people who saw Suicide Squad this weekend? You have got to let it go already.
I hope it doesn't come to that for all our sakes.
That's a shame. I was looking forward to it being tolerable after the mess that was BvS. Guess I'll have to pin my hopes on Wonder Woman.
You know, I'm not a DC fanboy by any stretch. I never preferred their superhero stuff to Marvel. (Their Vertigo stuff + Morrison Doom Patrol and Animal Man, however, was amazing.)
I didn't see as that harsh, but yes, the tone of this Newswire was definitely defensive about AV Club's review of the film. Which, whatever, guys: you didn't like the movie. It's fine. And people can have opinions as to whether comic books and related media are still inherently sexist in the 21st century (I think they…
Guys: you actually had the chance to use the big red NO this time and didn't. Come on.
I'm just so tired of all these star wars.
