Pretty sure that, a few weeks ago, Walt's bitchfest about Jesse not being around to do his part was shown through the perspective of the camera, and that there was audio along with it.

The weight of the money was just too much for the closet to handle. I wonder if there is a metaphor in there somewhere in regard to Skyler's future dealings with the cash. And, damnit if those vacuum bags weren't made to look like body bags laying on the crawl space floor.

I think it's significant that, not only are we not told what the cartel wants, we don't see Gus's response to the ultimatum (although, I'm assuming it was "no," seeing as the meeting ended almost immediately).

There are so many "organic" conflicts on this show right now, I can't help but think the "cop-as-mole" angle would feel forced…almost too predictable for a show that's as careful about story as BB.

There have been a couple of moments that suggest Hank's suspicion, and I am with you on what you saw tonight. The one that sticks with me especially is the cryptic way Hank utters "Walter White?" to Walt as he tries to decipher the "W.W." inscription in Gale's notebook. It's cliche to say, but I think Hank's onto him.

So, that video progresses from a couple of ladies giggling at the potential bodily harm of a fellow human, to squealing at the potential encounter with a famous actor. All the while, they choose to film the incident in ignorant bliss without doing a goddamned thing to help. Ah, pop culture.

Ghosts of WCW
It concerns me a great deal that, after establishing (thanks to Punk) one of the most buzzed-about angles in the last 10 years, WWE seems intent on going with this "old guard" vs. "new guard" storyline…the same type of narrative that WCW attempted in the throws of its death a decade a go ("New Blood vs.

I also liked the opening shot of the episode. As Walt is weaving and speeding down the road, the camera has to literally catch up to his car. To do so, it too weaves in and out of the traffic until it finally pulls up behind Walter's Saturn. Very cool and creative.

Fun Run
Anybody notice Hank's t-shirt while he was speaking with the cop? "APD Fun Run 2006," and at about three pairs of legs were prominently displayed amongst the letters. A pretty dark joke by the production team there.

Yes, I heard that too. Thought it was great, in that Gus must have told him what he wanted and Mike (as usual) set the whole thing up, no questions asked.

All I know is…
…the animated, tv version of "Watership Down" freaked the ever-living shit out of me, moreso than any damn dinosaur puppets could have.

Automatic For The People remains my favorite REM album (maybe favorite album, period) but I'm glad you point out the underappreciated quality of New Adventures. There was something just absolutely perfect about Walt, the self-proclaimed meth kingpin, desperately trying to hold his pants up as he walked to retrieve his car at the end of the ep. So many great moments in this opener.

Razorbacks
Sorry, but the scene with the obligatory, unnamed "angry civilian" announcing that he "Didn't want to stand in line behind a razorback," was one of the most pathetic notes this show has hit…and there have been some seriously horrible notes. Was such a terribly written, hacky prejudice / bigotry angle really
