As much as I hated the Ted Beneke subplot, and particularly that ridiculous tripping scene, I'm glad they at least sort of kept him in - having him in a brace not saying anything is dumb, but it's not as dumb as randomly killing him. And who knows? He's bald now, and everyone knows that will soon amount to doing great

Considering the use of scientific surnames in the past, I'm going to guess Lambert is a reference to Johann Heinrich Lambert, the guy who thought of the term albedo (a measure of reflectiveness of light of a surface). That would mean the entire ID is fake and the birthday could be Walt's (or any) birthday.

I got annoyed by Steve Zahn at the start, but he really, really grew on me. He became one of my favourite characters in the second season.

There was a theory floating around that Amon was, at least partly, prosthetic. This would explain why he isn't as vulnerable to bloodbending, and also fits within the whole steampunk, more technical vibe his cult has.
