Sure, for the low low price of an HD antenna and a local DVR that I could tie in to the roku i'd also have to buy, and whatever pains it takes to install the antenna itself. It's just beyond the price point I'm looking for, and I'm afraid it always will be.

Sling includes AMC, apparently, so that's Mad Men and Saul covered; HBO gives me GoT, Veep, and Silicon Valley; Netflix and Amazon for their stuff; Hulu+ for networks; Roku throws in FX; all that's left is Jeopardy! and I can finally cut the cable.

Cable standards & practices are effectively pass-throughs to the advertisers. The FCC has no stake in cable content.
