I think she was more referencing how Twilight has turned Love Triangles into a… thing. I mean, shipping wars have always been prevalent, but Twilight fangirls made it "popular." Viewers aren't even waiting for romance to blossom, they're just forcing characters into Triangles whenever they fit the archetype.
