He's right, though. What would the charge be? Weird business practice?
I think he's making a joke about having his car stolen in Seattle, but calling the police in Chicago.
I understand not liking Art School Girl; it's got this bait-and-switch style, with the groove-poppy verses followed by that screeching chorus. Part of why I love it so much is that it seems intentionally unloveable, if that makes any sense.
I mean, the lyrics themselves are pretty clearly an intentional riff on "Jumpin Jack Flash." To me, STP's genre jumping comes off more like Ween's dress-up riffing where they find their own voice in others' styles, than say Creed, which is just bankrupt.
What really makes that album fantastic is that every single song is its own idea, it's isn style thoroughly explored and confidently executed. No two tracks seem to spring from the same creative source. And yet it all sounds of a part.

Joy of a Toy could very well be his best album, but I have a soft spot for Bananamour, since I heard that one first. Shooting a the Moon is great.
Hell yeah, Emitt Rhodes. I just discovered him last week. For anybody looking for more mid-era Beatles McCartney, take note.
Kevin Ayers. Dude's like Syd Barrett and Brian Wilson had a crazy baby.
Oh, good. My images of both Macauley Culkin and Elijah Wood can go undisturbed at least one more day.
That was the line that got me to glance at the byline, too. The Indiana Jones the me should've played when I saw it was O'Neal.
No, no. He forgot the second asterix. He was trying to say that it's actually Count Snyder because he occupies some position of vague royalty or land-holding or something.
I think BatmanLannister is taking issue with your original comment that she got a makeover to impress a boy, which is a comment about the character's driving motivation. You've since switched to talking about the thematic argument of the narrative overall. I agree with you that the story of Cinderella is a problematic…
