Just finished Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail 72 which was interesting if for just how much things have changed and not changed. Plus how much the good doctor hated Hubert Humphrey, not to mention Nixon.

Matterhorn will make you want to crawl in a hole and die. But it is wonderful.

Umbridge is the best villain. Voldemort was boring, but Umbridge I wanted to strangle. What a great character.

Swamplandia was good I guess? She is a very talented writer I just didn't really like the story or how it was resolved.

I also read and enjoyed it, fun quick read.

@Miller is right, you can kind of see maybe where he was heading with connections but it obviously didn't get there. There are some awesome little threads though, so maybe take it as more of a short story collection.

I've read all of those except Player Piano and while Mother Night is probably my favorite, Sirens of Titan makes me cry every time.
