Scott touched on it, but Manos is only popular because of Mystery Science Theater 3000. Therefore the MST episode should have been inducted into the canon, not the movie. I do not think it is accurate anymore to associate Jacques Tati with "middle-aged men." His work is finally finding a younger audience and I'm gald, because all of his movies are masterpieces.
