Well, with Steven, it was a *fall* special.
And the episode where Steven failed to reconcile the alien gem, with terrible consequences, would still be in the back of our minds.

"Audiences brought up on . . . Popeye were often baffled by Krazy’s stew of loopy wordplay and surreal imagery." I don't know. Popeye in the 20's (first called "Thimble Theater") could get pretty weird in itself. Alice the Goon and the Jeep and Wimpy's poetry . . .
Were Larry, Darryl and Darryl meant as a tribute?
The episode I remember was from the latter part of the run. Gosalyn is taken out of Darkwing's life, and he becomes a vigilante, with no sense of right and wrong. The ego is significant, but without other elements it becomes poisonous.

Natural rights people have an easier time of it. Just follow the Constitution: "natural and unalienable."
And the people who say "never before have we had this fear" don't know their history: the Alien and Sedition Act, the 1919 Red Summer, the panics of the mid-to-late Cold War.
Fortunately, the Trump family situations are full of these ironies. Life is just a bowl of cherries.
They're great singers, though. Loved the movie.
