I think it alludes to Greek mythology, and the story of how Dedalus died.

I was glad to see some veteran voice actors — LaMarche, DiMaggio — along with the "name" actors. I hate how the vets have been pushed away.

I think people are ignoring 1936's "Sabotage." Hitchcock himself denigrated it. But it contains two great character studies, the Terrorist and his Wife who has a gut reaction to what terrorism brings forth. I'd agree on "The Lady Vanishes" and "The 39 Steps."

My Dear Friend says he has the impression that "In the Mountains of Madness" is a story where Lovecraft goes beyond racism. (I plead impartiality through ignorance of Lovecraft.)

It depends on who is interpreting. The first time I went there I went by myself. There were several people from China in the crowd. The guide was a young man who rattled off the name and function of each room and paced onward. A poor older Chinese couple kept asking me, "What did he just say?"

That and "The Ghost Breakers." Hope alternating between some solid jokes and some fair good acting and Paulette Goddard tweaking the censors. If only it wasn't so racist!

Can't you fit "The Story of G. I. Joe" in there somewhere?

They vary so much. You get cheapo cartoons like Heckle and Jeckle's short with the tenor played by a record (it's still funny, though) and then you get this one.

Yeah, where's the "Laughing Gnome"?

"Keep Beach City Weird" looks ominous today. Foreshadowing?

Description of the next episode: "Steven has doubts about believing in everyone." :-l

Should the Club initiate a safety measure? "Private Activity Only" posters can only post after a message to Central central. No censorship, but a space between request and posting.

First 20 Minutes Are The Best — Future A. V. Club feature?

Not Pittsburgh. Darn it.

And criminally underused in her lifetime.
