It's not really so breakneck when you consider that everything in the episode comes from Tarrlok's line about Korra being a half-baked Avatar.  When she goes into the press conference with Tenzin, she's feeling like pretty big shit.  It reminds me a bit of the flashback from Last Airbender when Zuko goes to his first
