Here's a tip I learned by accident that should improve this movie quite a bit.  Watch the first 5 minutes with the center channel disconnected.  Skipping the opening monologue is quite an improvement.

I'm with you on that.  I'm reminded of the time Madonna was interviewed by Letterman.  Crude antics and fireworks are by no means a substitute for comedic talent.  And I have to say I'm a little disappointed with the AVClub for thinking otherwise.

What load of bullshit.  First they fire the original actor playing Spartacus.  Then they straight kill the main character!!??  What's the next season supposed to be?  The survivors wandering around the hills?  That's it I'm done with this show.
