DJ Static from the awesome WeFunk radio is originally from Hong Kong, on an english university radio station in the heat of Quebec. http://www.wefunkradio.com/

Sort of surprised that more credit for this wasn't given to Harry Connick Jr and Memphis Belle. I thought that was a bigger film then Swing Kids, and came first, and 'We are in Love' a decently big album after the success on 'When Harry Met Sally'

I think that was the the CHiPs episode.

I still paraphrase the line to make little kids smile while coaching; 'so fast when he hit the switch he would be in bed before the lights went out'

Likely meant as an insult, but in the words of Stephen Fry:
"The American comic here like John Belushi or someone like that. You
know that scene in Animal House, it is a fellow playing folk music on a
guitar, and John Belushi picks up the guitar and destroys it.

Not to be contrary Daedalus_x, but I would suggest that 'intellectual rigour and extremism are incompatible' is a very dangerous thought.
