Call me when they have Bryan Ferry.

Pre-Fab or not, 'Door into Summer' is a great track

'The making of' shows off exactly how awesome Brian Blessed was while demanding to know if anyone hadn't slept with his daughter.  I seem to recall that was 1st take genuine intimidation stuff.

No question, particularly when you consider when it was made

Shadow Men were just generally catchy.   Got to see them play in front of maybe 30 people once.

I was never sure how to take 'They Live' since it is basically the conspiracy of ZOG representing with aliens instead of Jews

That statement is way better if you say it in the Quebecois way with a heavy ER sound.  Add little classic rock like 'Bay-Tay-o'  and Gun an' Rose and you are golden.

I was just thinking that I was listening to stuff like the DKs too much until I was 25.  Then somewhere after I first heard 'Maggot Brain' a realized that concept albums could be cool even after Pink Floyd.

Big Country falls into that with 'The Crossing'.  Stuart Adamson was awesome  and 'Look Away' showed off what they could have been.

By the late 80s it was 'something old and from a place far away' for most people reading this.   Oi is football hooligan music.   That whole subculture got a huge push back in the late 80s after they pushed  too far, and there was too many big incidents not to react to.

Yeah, I don't think they are Oi so much as 70s UK punk.   When I am in that sort of mood I find myself listening to the UK Subs more then anyone else.

Maybe not surprisingly, that window for me is almost identical to Motorhead.

The best two (coming from a parliamentary democracy anyway) are Yes Minister that retains value about the civil service and pandering, and In the Thick of It for spin.

I am pretty sure what he was trying to express is that this album is a car wreck, which I must assume is not quite as bad as a train wreck

That list w/out Watership Down?!

I would also note that well before the Dude, it was Dr Johnny Fever who eventually gave in to Travis' demands and played 'The Long Run' after a weak moment after connecting with his daughter.

3rd prize youre fired.

That totally registered as Toller Cranston, which would have been a way different Cranston-ize. More of a sort of "What Would Brian Boitano Do?" thing.

Titus Pullo
I realise that you couldn't build a whole show around him, but I could watch that guy go to work all day. Less anxy then Lucius Vorenus with all the hard core jolly killer.

Never really liked the Young Ones despite being a big fan of a huge variety of UK comedy and rather liked the Alexei Sayle show at the time.
