I'd agree with that. And given the amount of fucked up shit that happens in the park, they would want to limit any possibility of outside communications and or leaks

It was also foreshadowed pretty heavily by Teddy's backstory about how fucked up Wyatt had become

Another big clue is how protective Teddy was of her. Both in her introductory scene and in the later one.

It didn't seem like that was the case, since presumably she would have at least been bleeding. I interpreted it as her flashing back to a time something similar had happened (almost being shot by that guy) and reacting differently this time

Until told otherwise I'm going to assume any knives given to the guests are fake (as in they only work on hosts, like the bullets from the guns).

To be fair, he would still be getting older, and who knows how long the mission would take.

I would love to see him go on ONE mission with them because I think the rest of the characters would balance nicely against his mopey-ness, but nah he wouldn't work as a regular part of the team.
