This is really sad news.
I'm a big fan of Conner so this is really sad. Report was one of the more effecting films I've seen on the Kennedy Assassination (which he started working on the film while it was happening) and Cosmic Ray was amazing to watch. I loved the way he used collage filmmaking.

Inconsistent Generalization
So movies about crime take place in the cold and movies about prejudice/racial tension take place in the heat. Got it.

I'll end the suspense for you, Clay Davis/the cop in 25th hour: it was just delayed editing.

here, not hear.

Director's Show
This is really a director's show, and just as with Master's of Horror, the writer and director of a given episode determine how good or bad it is. I mean, this was Stuart Gordon, and the pilot? The guy who directed Sahara. It's not really a question why this was better.

PIGGER! PIGGER! PIGGER! PIGGER!
The coaches bedroom looks like a wealthy nine-year-old's.

Thank you Amy Sedaris…
I'm so putting marbles in my medicine cabinet at my next party. Who knows whose read this book?

Train, say your prayers, eat your vitamins, be true to yourself, true to your country. Be a REAL AMERICAN! WHOO!

Oops.

And at the end, I finally got to see that title card. Totally worth the wait!

No title sequence
When I first saw this movie, I foolishly was waiting to see what the title card looked like. I assumed that the first scene was a prologue, and that as soon as it was over I'd see Punch Drunk Love on the screen. Then, minutes progressed and I kept waiting for the title card. I don't know why I was

"wow, he's cool"
"are you being serious?"
"i don't even know anymore,"

Late to the Party
So I just started to watch this series around later February, and I just finished the entire thing today (reading along with the TV Club along the way) and watching it from beginning to end like that has been one of the most significant pop-culture experiences in my life, and its totally been
