Patrick Swayze
Even though they made the disclaimer about "before he was dead," I thought the "cross-out" symbol over Patrick's poster picture was in bad taste…especially for such a weak joke.
Speaking of what her character looks like, I've always been charmed by Liz's total lack of concession to sex-symbol good looks (relieved by the appearance of the occasional "dressed-up Liz"), but recently it's gone too far. She's been looking SO frowsy that I wish they'd do something with her hair…like brush it maybe…
He called her "Ludgate," which is her last name.
I will miss Paul Schneider as he is the only Desirable Male on the show (although Nick Offerman is definitely the alpha male) and he was TDF as the lowering Scottish poet in Bright Star. He will have a good film career. However, I'm beginning to wish Rashida Jones would be beset and torn to pieces by rabid Pawnee…
I'm sorry (and I'm apologizing) but Ben Stiller is looking too old for this part and his hair looks disconcertingly overstyled. He needs at least some charm to make this work, I'd think, and he doesn't have it (judging by the trailer). It's like, yes, he's supposed to be a misfit, but he's a misfit for the movie…
And the exit from the Fun House is the entrance to the Loony Bin.
They are noobs.
dial it back
I love Michael Sheen (AKA Tony Blair/Future Husband) but his appearance on this 30 Rock was a total dud. Thanks for ruining yet another of my celebrity crushes, Liz Lemon & C0.
I liked most all of this episode, but I really think they're overdoing the old meta-reality stare into the camera. Tending on the formulaic. Ugh.
Yes, but this is satire so they have to flaunt realism and go toward the extreme. None of these characters are reasonable people (except Ann and Mark, the "straight men").
I agree with everyone. (Because I'm agreeable.)
"Jerry hate would be funnier if he weren't such a nice guy. .."
this episode was
dumb dumb stupid ghastly awful C- and that's sooooo lenient
Ah…yes, I see….down the wrong road on that one. When he first came on, everyone wanted to throw him out because of his hairline.
"Sarcasm is irony used with the intent to wound the person to whom the remark is addressed."
As in Paul Theroux? Was he known to also be a tourist in his personal life, famously enough to be a character type?
"Much of the joy of life is in anticipation…" P & R is keeping us in a continuing state of anticipation (as, I think, Mad Men did also) (like anticipating the next season…)..
You know you like it.
