Because reasons.

Where be the indians, chinese, mexican, or eskimo cast members? 😜

Redbeard at night, Redbeard in notebook…odd innit.

I always pictured him as a grizzled warrior, taller but he can't be a geezer riding horses and wielding a sword.

The elves are not "new." They predate the rise of man but stayed hidden…but yeah, the ruins, ships, and street signs was a but odd within the context of of storyline.

The gas mask Trolls was kinda silly though.

I read the books years ago and can barely recall the stories but I think the tv version revealed that the story takes place on a future earth way too soon. The show is alright, a bit too PC for my tastes but that's what the younger generations demand I guess.

The weather, the blizzard made the characters want the comfort and "safety" the roadhouse offered. The protagonists lowered their guard because the weather made that the easy out. The Russel character suspected his prisoner had a confederate or two but he didn't solve the puzzle in time.

Just saw the movie and there are spoilers in this comment.  Po telling a cowardly Finn about his secret mission just after meeting him struck me as sloppy tradecraft.
As many have remarked, Rey is a "Mary Sue," her character is too strong, too fast.  The gigantic crack separating the cousins Rey and Ben was too cute…

Gonna see the flick and hope Star Wars: the Disney Investment doesn't disappoint. As an on the cusp geezer, these new characters are too new school but the bits of the story that have seeped out seem kinda interesting.

With a ship called Slave I and a clone for a son, Boba was fairly mysterious and made a classy meal for the pit

Bringing her back is a bad move.

The Grimm love triangle just got more messy, again.

Can the have a Dune Star Wars mashup or alternate reality crossover, that would be cool in a Duncan Idaho kinda way.

Yeah, but will these newfangled feministic movies pass the Ipcress test?!?

Or the fact that she bedded Nick's partner Hank and Renard too no?

You don't want the audience surrogate to be a dumbarse do you? The writers are idiots but I guess this show has to appeal to international markets too so making Americans look dumb might help haha

I don't really follow the show too much but are the characters preoccupied with stocking up on canned goods, water, diapers, beef jerky, or cold beverages at all?? Rather than play board games shouldn't doomsday preppers be their new hobby…

Did Mickey Finn assemble IG-88?

Years ago when I read some of the books Garet Jax seemed a cool cat. Hope he makes the trip to the small screen.
