@avclub-3a04d36f2c53226d9c27c607cea5e299:disqus, it's still a great episode. Up there in the top 50 Simpsons, but Season Four is almost universally great. Honestly, the only reason I said it was lower tier is that I forgot Whacking Day.
I've seen that episode, I can't remember a moment of it.

I think it's a cultural thing. We don't have summer camps in Ireland, so it just comes off as cartoonish to me. Odd complaint about a cartoon, but I find the best episodes of The Simpsons to be the only slightly outlandish, the ones that could *almost* work in live-action.
