No offense intended, but whenever someone on this site says "I say this quote at least once a day!" or the like, I don't believe it for a second. What sort of conversations are you having, honestly, where you keep saying "and my jean shorts?" Apparently several times a week? And it's still funny after almost 10…
Not sure why some people are so convinced the movie is scripted or partially scripted. Having seen the movie, and read several articles/interviews about it, I'm convinced it is a genuine documentary.
This bothers me as well, Dr. M. How many theme channels actually follow through on their theme over the long haul? Comedy Central is the only major channel that comes to mind, but that's a pretty broad target.
This was a great article. Very interesting. Sean O'Neal is the best writer on AV Club and I always enjoy seeing him do something besides the News posts.
I've been thinking about that recently. Doctor Who is similar in some ways, in that the Doctor is immortal, good at everything he does, and has a magic box and a magic screwdriver that can pretty much do anything. Yet, Doctor Who is enjoyable because A) the Doctor is charming B) you care about the people he's trying…
I kinda liked 40 Days and 40 Nights.
April.
the dog is right. The first Transporter is unapologetically good, the other two are worth your time but ultimately forgettable.
Agreed, re: Statham scale.
Agreed.
I wasn't making a joke. I honestly don't know why these film festivals are revered by certain circles. Film festivals are irrelevant to whether or not I decide to see a movie.
Same thing almost happened to me. It actually recorded a repeat of Modern Family and thought it was this episode a week earlier.
I also don't give a shit about Sundance or any film festival. I'm never going to go to a film festival. I don't care about film festival coverage.
SUPER HERO COMICS NOW AREN'T AS GOOD AS SUPER HERO COMICS THEN.
It's like when wrestling stopped trying to convince people it was real. All of our illusions are dispelled. Of course the Human Torch will be back.
I agree. I've only played the first two Ace Attorney games, and while I thought they were good, they're a bit tiresome, which is why I haven't moved on to the third.
I don't get the Bob's Burgers hate (or the, perhaps more rampant, Bob's Burgers indifference). There's only been two episodes so far, and both made me laugh. I'd prefer they hire female voice actors for the female roles, but besides that, I don't have any complaints about it.
Kate Beckinsale faked a back injury.
Ron Howard politely changed the subject.
