In addition: Wooo!
I haven't been watching the show this week, but I just watched the Julie Bowen interview because of this article, and she was really funny! And the fact that the primary camera was frequently in the Visual Access Angle didn't hurt either.
I agree with the OP. The show was good, but not great. I would have preferred either a straight analyst workplace drama OR an over-the-top crazy conspiracy show like in the pilot to the mish-mash we got.
I also think this sounds like a good idea. I love Disney Parks, and it's entirely possible there's a good movie to be made about them. Favreau and Moore are talented creators, so why not?
I just watched Eps 1 and 2 last night. I think the acting and dialogue are second-rate, but I still find it intriguing. Plus all the reviews I've read say it starts slow and gets really good later on, so I'm sticking with it. Maybe I'll watch Eps 3 and 4 tonight!
Yes it definitely bothered me. It's not like we couldn't see the gag coming from a mile away anyway.
Why would you tell your girlfriend you had a dream about doing her and her mom at the same time?
My girlfriend has been teased relentlessly for pronouncing bagel as "baggle," so when they introduced that for Britta I thought it was hilarious.
We need some sort of society to keep these dickwolves in line. Some kind of group of Singles, Seniors, Childless Couples and Teens and Gays Against Parasitic Parents.
If I were hired to write this, I'd probably put some sort of MacGuffin inside the Cube, and it needs to be solved to get it out. It'll break if you break the Cube, so you have to solve it. Bunch of scary dudes are after it. Some kids are the heroes. Like a PG kids version of the Da Vinci Code, only with a little…
I picture all of the internet douchebags who thrill in pointing out minor imperfections with female celebrities as being the Jason Alexander character from Shallow Hal.
I want a new duck
One that won't spill a beer
One that won't make a mess of my house
One that knows the duck stops here
I think you're right. I did the same thing with V and FlashForward, but for some reason even the three episodes of this show I watched before I bailed were so dull that I have no idea of the characters' names, and can't really follow these articles. Also, maybe it's not quite bad enough to be interesting to read.
It's not "exciting," but I think the artistry makes it worthwhile. It's also a great place to stop when you're getting tired in the afternoon but you still want to be "doing" something.
Good post, Nebuly!
I like this post. A TV show with zombies and no remaining living people might make for a funny comedy sketch.
I watched both series of Spaced on Hulu and never liked it. I really wanted to, but it never worked for me. Maybe because I have always worked full-time since high school and I didn't relate to the main characters at all, but it's not like I have so many similarities to the cast of Community or Cougar Town or 30 Rock…
12) Consult childhood diaries for next property to remake.
13) Call Johnny Depp.
Turning Alice in Wonderland into some kind of Narnia-esque movie with swords and armor is like turning EXAMPLE OF SOMETHING ELSE CLEVER AND FULL OF ABSURDISM AND BRILLIANT WORDLPLAY into EXAMPLE OF SOMETHING THE OPPOSITE OF THAT.
FX was taken off of Dish Network, not DirecTV.
