A late August release seems to mean "we think there's a chance this might be a hit, but we're not counting on it."

I threw it on the ground!

Yeah, the Bone Season is what it's called. From what I understand, the book actually isn't very much like Harry Potter, as it's more in the dystopia tradition. It's kind of awful, because some people have taken to calling the author the next J.K. Rowling. If the book is anything less than a super-mega bestseller, then

Hey, if you don't like that kind of thing, then you don't like it. There's nothing wrong with that.

The Teen Paranormal Romance section makes me die a little bit inside every time I walk by it, and this is coming from someone who actually likes a lot of YA stuff.

This sounds like it was kind of soul-crushing. Poor man!

Real Talk: How many of you are going to watch this? I'm undecided. I really liked season 1, but I thought season 2 was kind of iffy, even if it did have some good episodes.

That Lena Dunham sure is a twentysomething woman. Come at me bro!

It is "The Show That Must Not Be Named."

Seriously though, the TWOP boards are really fucking scary.

I think it would be hilarious if Walt Jr. just disappeared and we never heard from him for the next five episodes. Then, at the very end of episode 8, we pull back from a bowl of cereal, and there is Walt Jr., utterly triumphant.

Yeah, where was Walt Jr. during all of this anyway? School?

Who really needs antibiotics anyway?

I don't care what the character's name is. He'll always just be Evil Landry to me.

It was quite a beautiful typo.

Happy Birthday! Here are some tickets for Turn Off the Dark. I don't really want them.

I meant that he could have been a nicer person back then. Orson Scott Card now is absolutely the worst.

It's pretty timely though, what with Orson Scott Card's copious amounts of crazy.

Don't forget the War on Poverty!
I'd like to keep the intellectual Jefferson, and keep him separate from the hypocritical slaveholder who impregnated one of his teenaged slaves.
