You just knew when the celebrity Kickstarter thing started that someone was going to make a hilariously tone-deaf one that was going to fail spectacularly. I'm really disappointed in Zosia Mamet, because I actually like her as an actress.
Also I didn't know who Jon LaJoie was before, but he is awesome.

Apparently she did use crowd-funding so that she could show her movie at festivals, this being in her pre-Girls days. She said on Twitter that there are people she avoids, because she forgot to give them their rewards for donating. I think that's really kind of dickish.

That's part of what's so infuriating. Those rewards are just ridiculous.

@avclub-1b1f9a3e639ecc53f335314fc9d8403b:disqus I kind of hope that someone punched your aunt in the face at some point.

Really? Dang and I thought StarKid was cool.

I honestly suspect that is a major reason why they did this.

"Hannibal suddenly emerged less as a wry antihero and more as the poisonous snake slithering unseen into the house."
That's very interesting, since I think Hannibal characterized Will as the mongoose under the house that keeps the snakes at bay.

I thought this episode was good too. I found it to be really emotionally involving and I actually felt really bad for the killer of the week. I just have come to accept that the people in this show have murder wizard powers.

When Beverly told will after the Dr. Sutcliffe thing that he couldn't possibly have done this, I really wanted her to give him a hug. She is very quickly becoming my favorite character.

I wonder about that. In the books/movies is he supposed to be the most successful serial killer ever? Honestly asking.

I might have actually shouted "oh you asshole!" at the screen. Hannibal, friends don't let friends' brains explode.

" Hannibal is cooking Will's brain."
That's a really brilliant way to think of it.

I was 3 when the show started airing and 12 when it finished. I must admit to seeing most of it on TBS reruns.

For some reason, people get really angry when they think something is/was undeservedly popular.

It is definitely cringe-worthy, but this was twenty years ago. There wouldn't be a major GLBT character on TV until Ellen came out in "The Puppy Episode" three years later.

Maybe it didn't have any impact on the world, but I would say that it definitely has influenced sitcom writing. Also NBC began it's long, painful decline after this stopped airing. By decline, I mean in the ratings not in quality.

Titanic 2: Revenge of Titanic. I assume it's about the Titanic rising up to kick the iceberg's ass.

Now that's a movie I might actually want to see.

I only watched the first two episodes, but I read all of the Sims reviews. The Following is basically kind of awful. Sadly I think the things that make it awful are the very same things that make it a hit, while Hannibal is not. From what I saw, the violence is meant to titillate more than horrify.

I nominate the Echolls for the inevitable pop culture family you don't want to be a part of Q&A.
