It's not the 15 bux I pay for HBO that bothers me, it's having to buy 500 other channels I don't watch for a $100 to get it.

I think a good parallel would be the video game industry. For better and worse. Producers (developers) will sign contracts to make shows for distributors. The distributors will put up the money, but demand more guarantees of marketability as that investment increases. I see a some of high quality sequels to popular

I've noticed the interesting choice of cars on this show from the get go. Part of it is Albuquerque, I'm sure. I think half of the total production of Aztecs ended up there. Uh, I forget. I'm probably conflating a period of several years from the late 80s into the early 90s.

Between this, the aforementioned Mighty Mouse, Muppet Babies, Pee Wee's Playhouse, and MST3K, I spent many a Saturday in the 80s baked from early morning on. 

I found 'Falling Skies' to be hopelessly sappy, but TWD could use at least a little of that shows optimism. It can be a little too relentlessly grim sometimes.

I loved his performance, but the movie ends just when it's getting to the most interesting part of the story.
