Neil Young either knows or should know that there is some amount of snake oil being sold here. There is no point to offering 24-bit-192k downloads, either scientifically (http://people.xiph.org/~xip… or practically speaking. 24-bit audio is great, but the 192k sample rate is completely unnecessary.

It would have been nice to have Zack Handlen and Noel Murray take part in this round table. Noel and Zack, your House reviews were what first got me hooked on the AV Club.

I think "favorite artist" it a terrible title for this chart. It should "Artists With the Most 2013 Radio Play By State". Big record labels are the ones who decide what gets played on the radio. Smaller artists have no shot.

If it's Spotify, there is a huge bias, namely the "Top Lists" of Tracks and Albums. People want to listen to artists that other people think are cool.
