Can't believe it's taken this long in the thread for anyone to mention.  Eric A was clearly the lynchpin of this band - which makes Perry & Dave's posturing over the last 20 years of unmitigated shit all the more galling.

I was trying to think of something worthwhile to say about this seeming debacle (haven't heard it but can only assume the worst) and then you seemed to to say what I was trying to think.  And boy did I love this band back in the day…

For the love of fuck - if you mean Gram Parsons (assuming the possibility it might be some other died-young country singer), he had a 7-8 year career with 6 major albums.  Died young?  Talent cut short?  Under appreciated?  Influential?  Yes, but hardly a guy that didn't leave a lot behind for everyone to hear.
