Yeah, but Lane is homely on purpose. Jared Harris is a pretty good-looking guy in real life. Did you see his interview with Sepinwall? There's a hilarious part where he talks about his disgust at the costume designers throwing stains on Lane's clothes.

I actually don't want Betty to be in the finale simply because I think that little warm smile while hugging Sally would be the perfect note to end her character's story this year.

I've honestly been baffled by some of the criticism leveled at the series this season by fans on other boards. A lot of it seems to be strange resentment of the Megan character or that its "too dark" or preference for the early 1960s setting. There's also some weird contingent that thinks Don not cheating on his wife
