I'm no Pete defender - he's definitely still a d-bag.

You said everything I couldn't say because this episode made me feel too uncomfortable to say it!
He is an amazing actor, and I could see the anguish on his face…but Sylvia and Don just had absolutely no chemistry to me whatsoever. Obviously they're not supposed to work out…but since the chemistry isn't there, I almost don't understand why he's even sad. I felt a lot when I watched Don with Megan though (a lot of…
Yeah I'm guessing he was inspired by her yelling at Arnold. I'm not sure that they had a true BDSM thing going on though (in the respectful way you mean) since they didn't have any discussion beforehand about what roles they would be playing/what rules or limitations there should be. He was hardly going to let her end…
Yeah…I don't know if any of you have worked with people who have dementia or have family that do, but when they want to go "home" and there's no "home" to go to, there's no casually reasoning with them. You make up whatever sounds right in the moment that they'll accept and forget within the next ten minutes anyway. I…
It's weird since I'm usually into that kind of thing…but coming from Don Draper…it was just strange and sort of boring to me. He doesn't have to say much of anything to get a woman to do his bidding, so that was just pointless.
@Kumagoro:disqus It may have been non-romantic, but I saw a hell of a lot more chemistry between Annie and Troy in Mixology than I've ever seen between Britta and Troy. I really think the writers could have built up the relationship between Annie and Troy if they were going to have anyone in the group try for a…
Hey. That's insulting to Dan Bejar!
That's exactly how I felt. Though that one moment where he has that breakdown where's he's yelling "Shitshitshit!" before going into the crawlspace was mildly surreal and reminded me a lot of something I'd see in an episode of Louie.
I think IFC's ad campaign is doing what it can to help people get familiar with him. Apparently, Marc Maron has ISSUES! I also have faith that he'll have more appeal than say…Larry David, because he's gorgeoussss.
This episode was my introduction to Maron and I loved it - Josh Brener's character is pretty great and I definitely hope he continues to hang around for the rest of the season.
Secret Swingers is my favorite! "Jealous" and "Glitter of Love" are the best.
I've also noticed this.
I've never seen the movie as being about a girl choosing between two guys. It was always (to me, at least) about the way Molly Ringwald's character coped with adolescence as a girl living on the wrong side of the tracks. If it had been about making a choice though, I suppose RDJ would have been compelling enough (he…
I came here to see if Dudes would get a mention, and AVC did not disappoint! Such a great, campy movie. Also, my high school boyfriend looked/acted like Duckie (enough that we actually called him that). It's nice to see Jon Cryer attempting to stand up for effeminate nerds. Someone has to.
I think I would normally agree with you (since I love absurdist humor) but I just didn't happen to find TJ funny in that instance at all. Sometimes shock humor delivered with too much snark gets tiresome though, no matter who it's coming from.
@avclub-2b1e066c8a7111acee306a0fe195ac76:disqus …she'll.
I feel like the only shows worth watching air on Sundays and Mondays now… I should probably take this time to go outside and make friends though.
This show IS incredibly addictive! I'm thrilled that I took a chance on it (in spite of my initial hatred of Russell from her Felicity days). I keep trying to get my friends into it, but they won't bite. It's a fucking shame.
TUSK! Wigs! etc. etc.
