Next year, on Mad Space Nine….

“How many Romulan Senators does it take, Captain, before it becomes wrong? Hmm? A dozen? A thousand? A million? How many people does it take, Captain?!" – J.L. Picard

Romulans are the N******s of the world….

You do realize those contracts are with the BCS, schools, bowls, and conferences themselves, and not the NCAA, right?

SPOILERS, FIRST OF ALL

Yup. The idea that the McCarthy-ite is a secret Communist ploy is a lot more fascinating than the remake's "OMG Corporations!" plot. And making Shaw the actual VP candidate doesn't really make sense given he's so fucked up and unlikeable.

Did anyone call the genetically enhanced "augments" before Enterprise? Because lord that name is stupid, taking something fantastically and awesome and making it incredibly mundane, but it seems to have stuck in permanent usage.

I find Die Hard II completely underrated on this site. I enjoy it far more than the 3rd: Sadler, Amos, Dennis Franz are all great, nobody's as moronically stupid as Paul Gleason in the first movie, and the big twist is actually a twist, not just a rehash of the first one like in Vengance, where it turns out, yet

Didn't they do that on TNG's Ship in a Bottle, too?

If you leave the ship in a shuttle for an extended time, only one of two things can happen:

Like you even have to tell it to do that. I've ended up with -1 notifications already, which shouldn't even be possible.

I agree on point 3: It's taking the worst of Trek Novel "Hey! Remember this?" need for everything to be connected, and retconning it into dozens of stories that it doesn't need.

"What a piece of work is man?" - First Season Picard, not understanding irony.

SPOILERS

I can't really imagine Martin Sheen in the role, but I'd have loved to get him on Star Trek somewhere, especially as this came right before West Wing completely reinvigorated his career.

Judging by twitter, Zack's already seen ITPM, so I wouldn't worry too crazy on spoiling on it.

One of my favorite comments about Section 31 came from someone on another website's review of Inquisition:

When it turned out he wasn't the secret bad guy in Iron Man 3, I was quite disappointed.

Section 31 is one of the most controversial things DS9 has ever done. The idea that the Federation has a hypersecret intelligence organization, just as nasty as the Tal Shiar or the Obsidian Order, is a very deep challenge to Federation ‘perfection’ and idealism that we’ve seen on TOS and especially TNG. I remember

For one, we’ve already done the “Bashir is evil!” plot, and even if this time it would be the actual real Bashir committing the crimes, that’s still needlessly redundant writing.
