Karen, not Donna, not Sasha. Karen. There isn't anyone on the show named Donna. lol. I don't know where that came from.

Breaking Bad's final half season was spectacular (The whole final season for that matter (Of course by that i mean Season 5, not 5B) But i digress) However a series cannot be defined by 8 or 16 episodes. To me despite Breaking Bad's end, Mad Men as a whole is still better than Breaking Bad as a whole in my opinion.

If you are right then those people should steer clear of Game Of Thrones. (Any HBO show really…)

Some people find it boring, that is fine. People say the same thing about Boardwalk Empire, some even say that about Breaking Bad. Some shows are just not made for a wide audience.

I agree that this is the greatest drama of all time. I know a lot of people would say Breaking Bad, The Sopranos, The Wire, ect. but i am just don't think that they are as strong as Mad Men.

Ha, very true.

The people of The AV Club community…

Okay then, what is your favorite arc of season one?

I find almost all of the characters featured on this show interesting and engaging. They are human characters, they are flawed, they are inconsistent, because that is the way we actually are. I am really bad at describing this sort of thing.

I was in the same position. If i remember correctly this is the first cable drama i ever watched. After years of watching things like NCIS and Bones (Which i cannot stand anymore) I suddenly understood what television could be, what it should be.

It's a fantastic series. Some cannot appreciate that though. It is not for everyone.

I prefer seasons 4 - 6 over 1 - 3, though 1 - 3 were fantastic.

"Red in the Face"

I think the fourth season may very well be my favorite, The Suitcase, The Beautiful Girls, The Summer Man, they are all so good.

She is definitely better than the kids on Boardwalk Empire. (Granted Tommy is awesome… but the other two….)

She may very well be.

Even if this pilot didn't hook you in the way it did me or others, i highly recommend you continue with it. Mad Men is a truly fantastic series that just keeps getting better.

Watching "Double Crossers" the first time i hated it, and would have completely agreed with a 'C-' grade. However upon reviewing i found that i really liked it, sure the plot wasn't great, but there were enough small jokes that really made the episode great.

Was i the only one who thought "Double Crossers" was a lot better than "Boarderline Personalities"?

To read 2 volumes for me takes about 2 hours, so for a faster reader it would probably take 12 or 13 hours to read all 17.
