I started watching this show because your reviews intrigued me. (That and Olivia Colman, who is so good in Peep Show.) Enjoying your insights so far!

Misfits is a super flawed show, implausible even by its own inconsistent logic, but it's amazingly entertaining. It's dirty, self-aware, hilarious, has a great soundtrack… If you go into it with a fully-suspended sense of disbelief, you'll enjoy it for what it is.
I remember that — Karen wants to talk to a teacher who is reading a story to some little kids, so Karen says something like "Hey kids, do you like stories or money?" and they all shout "Money!" so she throws a fistful of change and they instantly go "Yayyy!" and run after it. Yeah, I definitely got the "drawn-out recycled Doctor Who plot" feel as well. And for a show with relatively short seasons, it's disappointing to see it recycle its own formulas already — with Kirby as essentially a more malignant version of Tully from the first series — without even bothering to strengthen a lot of…
Exactly. That was Eve's best guess, but she didn't (and couldn't) know the real reason for why the baby's death mattered, hence her sending murderers after her past self. In fact, this flawed understanding was necessary to ultimately setting up the warehouse event that made the new future possible — after all, she…
" . . . even the characters can't figure out how "the baby living makes the vampires win" can work."
I kinda wish that the ONE slightly chubbier female character on the show got a little respect, but at least she's sympathetic.
The S&M scene with "Hans Jürgens" made it difficult for me, years later, to take Frobisher seriously in Torchwood: Children of Earth. I eventually managed, but it's just one example of how Alias continues to shape my TV experiences. I've really enjoyed reading these recaps, because unlike, say, TWoP recaps from when…
