Yeah I thought of that immediately, although it was probably smart of Perry not to just make up a third department to cut.

I'd give the season an A, probably partly because I share Judge's sense of humor and take on things. The reviewer makes a good distinction between the two sides of Judge's brain - the high and the low - but what they have in common is the awe and wonder they feel at how dumb and absurd things can be.

Well then we just disagree. And a lot of people agree with me so it's not an outrageous argument. Obama was elected by the majority and re-elected and he said the Republicans' Citizen United ruling was a joke.

The "whole time" was from when she married Drogo until she had the baby. And now he has his pardon plus Robert (and Joffrey) are dead. As he told her, an illegitimate boy sits on the throne. As Stannis pointed out to the Iron Bank, Tywin is old.

Robert Baratheon kept on Barristan Selmy even though he fought for the Mad King. Stannis Baratheon accepted all of Renly's supporters after he died even though they should have all backed Stannis at the start. Tywin made an alliance with the Tyrells even though they had gone over to Renly's side.

Yeah but the Mad King was insane and cruel and had to go as even Rhaegar understood. In the end it was justified since she can never really trust him again, but still he had a been a loyal adviser ever since he stopped feeding Varys information. It wasn't personal. He had nothing against the her, he just wanted to be

Felt bad for Mormont. Dany should have cut him some slack.

Yeah the Mountain (like Ramsey and Joffrey) was just pure sadism. Unlike those two he was unbeatable in a fight.

Ouch that looked like it hurt. I liked how the Mountain squished Oberyn's head and then promptly flopped back on his back out cold. They didn't show Bronn watching did they?

I was in Austin in the early 90s and loved it. Lots of tech companies.

Dyad's lawyers would argue that the clones aren't technically people, since there were created, not born. And the Republicans on the Supreme Court would go for it, just as they ruled that corporations are people and money is the equivalent of free speech.

Good point about their choice of cloning females. I'm not clear on why they chose to do that. And then there was Leekie's weird line that he was building a womb.

Yes I'm not exactly clear on how the military is involved. Usually companies whether evil or neutral are all about the stock price and executive compensation. The customers, suppliers, local community, etc. can go to hell. Even good companies have to be concerned about the bottom line or they'll go out of business.

I agree it's complicated and not automatically dystopian but I tend to agree with Baker above and what he says about cyberpunk. See the show Continuum.

I'm not saying the reviewer's reading is wrong but I see the religious Proletheans as being more about patriarchy with their father/cult leader figure. Dyad is about making money which is why they patented the clones and the clones are the corporation's property. Leekie was into the glory of scientific discovery which

I like Game of Thrones better, but really, really enjoyed this season of Mad Men. Granted I'm late to the bandwagon.

Slipping into the Twilight Zone!

Ehrlich was hilarious, especially his over-the-top presentation at the end. And I loved how Gilfoyle swatted the mini-drone away.

I took it that the scientists gave the clones some special genes but since the Dyad people don't have the genome, they can't tell which ones allowed the clones to survive or breed. And then there's Kira who healed rapidly after being hit by a car.

So Decima pulled a Reichstag fire. That Radiohead song was perfect. PoI is the OK Computer of TV shows.
