I have no idea how I managed to play through and beat this game back in the late 80's. Just an absolute grind.

Never played this. I recently played through Minish Cap on the Wii U, which wasn't bad, in an old-school Zelda way. I now have Spirit Tracks, which isn't as good…I'm not fond of the stylus controls, and it's way too small on the controller screen, which is about the only way to view it while playing. I'll probably…
When DM inevitably has some Anton Corbjin-directed visuals for their upcoming tour, they should just use this for Just Can't Get Enough.
I thought Depeche Mode had already provided their response, in song form:
THAT'LL show 'em!
Nah, I could have been more clear in my post. Heck, I'm just happy to get another anniversary notice. Carry on!
I was actually agreeing with you, FWIW.
Yeah, the more I thought about it, the more I think this is EXACTLY what the article says. Seriously, WTF.
I give her a pass, since she's directly linked to Wolverine. (Yeah, Wolverine was my favorite back when Wolverine was EVERYONE'S favorite.) And maybe a couple others from the Morrison era. But not much else.
As an old fart, I don't care much about any X-Men character introduced after oh, say, 1992. And that's being generous.
I was wondering about that, myself. What is any atheist supposed to tie their disbelief to, exactly? I get that atheists can be annoying if they're overly strident, which Maher can certainly be. But are we otherwise suggesting that, if you can't find a good REASON to be atheist, don't be?
Nothing proves how irrelevant a show is than unending press coverage. THAT'LL show 'em!
I loved Fall of the Mutants, but it probably doesn't make a whole lot of sense on its own. Ditto Inferno, really—that was practically a corporate-mandated resolution to the whole Phoenix/Jean Grey/Madeline Pryor thing.
I feel like X-Force is sort of the prototype for bad 90's stuff. WildC.A.T.S. at least had Jim Lee drawing it. Otherwise, I'd also say Spawn is up there.
To be fair, I think this is a fairly common tactic. Probably cheaper to just buy up potential "problem" site names than deal with them later.
To me, my AVClub commenters!
3…2…1…
This is one instance where I'm happy to see the movies take a basic premise from the comics (Logan's old, the rest of the heroes are gone/dead) and then ignoring everything else and filling it with content from other stories (X-23, Outback-era X-Men).
Hm. Is this true? I'm sure everyone's hoping for a Dark Phoenix thing, but I think the Brood could be a better option.
New girl at work was talking about all the concerts she was going to see this year. "Concerts?" I ask. "Yeah! I got tickets to NICKELBACK!!" I tried my best to appear happy for her, but I'm afraid my face probably did a few contortions as I had to not show my disdain for the band.
