Your idea sounds more radical/interesting, but I'm under the impression that it's going to go w/ the first season's voting system (and the one that's used by ABDC) where we get eliminations every week at the end of a show, and the vulnerable dancers are those based on the voting tallies based on the previous week's

Same here re: "Titanic" — I was amused that Nigel mentioned he liked the synchronous crescendos in both music and choreography, because as far as the choreo goes, it's set at the same volume all throughout the number, i.e. no real dynamic range.

The show has always skewed young — the average age for each season has been between 21 and 22 — but the trend towards 18- and 19-year-old girls has definitely accelerated within the past couple years. My preferred theory is that the show casts and attracts the modern/jazz/contemporary/lyrical competition circuit,

If any of the ballroom ladies last longer than Iveta did, let's just say I'll very mixed feelings.

See, I wonder about the feasibility of the "take a year of training and come back" notion for someone who presumably isn't being supported by their parents, as taking classes can be a serious expense and the amount of time that it'd take away from their day job. A lot can happen in a year, both good and bad, and
