Disappointing episode
John, I'm in agreement with you on Grady Wilson. I'm a Kenan Thompson fan, but the Grady Wilson sketches are abysmal, examples of SNL's frequent return-to-the-same-subject-so-we-don't-have-to-exert-ourselves-writing-an-original-sketch style of writing.

Can we just worship Nasim Pedrad from afar and not shout her awesomeness to the world too loudly? Once upon a time we thought Kristin Wiig was awesome and spread the word; now she's playing the same character over and over again, but with different wigs (no pun intended).

… Mary Kate and Ashley.

Agreed, newc0253.

Token disabled guy?
Does anyone know if the actor who portrayed Sean the quadriplegic is truly a quadriplegic? While the sequences with Sean were heartrending, his appearance smacked of a bone thrown to those who have protested the casting of an able-bodied person as a paraplegic (Artie, of course).

Good point, pheidias.

Agreed, Jorelson.

Best episode ever
Best episode of "Community" to date.

Well, if it's any consolation, Noel, I'm still convinced that the entire six seasons of "Lost" will turn out to be a life-flashing-before-your-eyes event that happens to Jack in the moments before he dies, in the final moments of the show, in the jungle after the crash of Oceanic 815 … because, you know, that idea's

Allow me to humbly point out …
Hmmm … how do I say this without sounding all douchey?

I'm so Schmittified.

The Case for the Walternate
Why I think the Man from the Other Side is the Walternate:

I less-than-three Annie
I give this episode an A if only for Annie's reaction when Shirley realized the group was there.

Ramblin, ramblin …
While I would give the episode a higher grade, I agree wholeheartedly with Todd's assessment of too many competing storylines. It almost seemed like a series of disconnected skits and I fully expected to see "Weekend Update" dropped in about midway through.

Well, certainly I'm being facetious about the made-it-to-series part, but I'm pretty sure Chappelle's and Breuer's dialogue on HI referenced their activities on their show-to-be. Also, with networks spending millions of dollars on pilots and market research each year, they would hand a show to a couple of guys who

Before you yell at me and tell me this doesn't qualify …
Your Honor, I would like to make a case for a backdoor pilot that does not qualify for this list, but at the same time DOES qualify for the list.

I remember the period of "Gargoyles" of which you speak, Jordo. What I recall was the story arc that followed Goliath, Maza, Angela and Bronx as they made their long "Odyssey"-like journey from Avalon back to Manhattan. Along the way, they encountered new, superheroic (and supervillainous) characters who were clearly

Sayid's woman
As it was brought up again in this episode, I just want to reiterate my prediction that the "woman I love" for whom Sayid made his pact with Smokey is, in fact, Shannon and not Nadia. Remember that both women died in Sayid's arms.

In the interest of time and bandwidth
Seeing as how we're all already here, perhaps we should just save time, web space and bandwidth by going ahead and discussing the show that will take "WTF's" place once it's canceled after the first two episodes.

It was like this…
Well, I'm 53 years old, and I can remember back when …
