Ah, but I was fairly lukewarm on Upstream. Of movies I saw in 2013, I felt Vanishing Waves scratched that particular itch better.

I'm not sure you're actually disagreeing with me. I thought Bale was fantastic. My point is I feel holding Lawrence's age against her is a bit like bringing up Bale is Welsh: It's technically true but I don't feel it impacts the film at all.

It's the first movie I've seen Jennifer Lawrence in, and as someone not predisposed to care for her, she was very, very good and believable in that role. I wasn't aware Super was a movie. And I get a title typed to me without context, not a 'this is a good comic book parody' or 'this is a good comic book movie' or anything else.
