Ah, but I was fairly lukewarm on Upstream. Of movies I saw in 2013, I felt Vanishing Waves scratched that particular itch better.

I'm not sure you're actually disagreeing with me. I thought Bale was fantastic. My point is I feel holding Lawrence's age against her is a bit like bringing up Bale is Welsh: It's technically true but I don't feel it impacts the film at all.

It's the first movie I've seen Jennifer Lawrence in, and as someone not predisposed to care for her, she was very, very good and believable in that role. Maybe she is a bit young to really be Christian Bale's character's wife, but Christian Bale is a bit Welsh to be an American con man. It's acting! She was very good…

Probably. I left the theatre with a big old grin on my face.

I haven't seen Inside Llewyn Davis, but American Hustle could certainly take on Upstream Color.

Blue Is The Warmest Colour and it's barely a contest…. okay, sure.

He's in Her?

Fine, I get it. You're all here to be experts in superhero movies and I was just here to snark at the raccoon. Peace.

I also said 'I feel this is going to be a litmus test for these sorts of movies.' It could have been a list of litmus tests. I haven't a clue.

I wasn't aware Super was a movie. And I get a title typed to me without context, not a 'this is a good comic book parody' or 'this is a good comic book movie' or anything else.

Wait if Frankenstein is early then everyone else is early because Frankenstein is the oldest of these books.

Trust me, it feels more epic with a bigger screen and better picture quality.

How do I know that's the only one? When I watched SHIELD, the show was full of 'hey did you watch the Avengers or Thor 2?' stuff. For all I know this movie is likewise.

My first Marvel film was Iron Man. I didn't like it so I was good stopping there.

I thought we were here to snark, not have exhaustive knowledge of comic book minutiae.

I do like Chris Pratt. I couldn't stop smiling when he was in Zero Dark Thirty.

Which apparently they've done twice already for characters for this movie. Or whatever.

Is it even possible to do that?

I dunno, I might see it if it didn't have all those continuity ties to the other Marvel films.

World of Spacecraft.
