The books have answered a lot of questions, including some I hadn't even realized were still open cases. Resolution is one of Martin's stronger suits… or it was; the last book suffered from having its ending cut and moved to the next book.
Deadwood?
You know the general critical consensus is that Returned is really good and it actually got the Guardian's pick for best show of the year, over Breaking Bad at number two.
I notice your complete list of shows includes Continuum. That doesn't bode favourably for its chances of season three coverage, does it?
The year in the rest of TV:
Anyone who hasn't heard of Enlightened certainly wasn't a regular visitor to the site back when Enlightened was on, which was when the site talked about the series very prominently. So I get the gut feeling a lot of the hostility-from-ignorance is from drive by comments or people who just showed up for the final eight…
Hey Defiance wasn't bad.
I felt season four was just less awesome than previous years, it was still a ridiculously fun show.

I like Legend of Korra, but it's too uneven for e to consider it among the show's best shows tbh.
It'd be fair to call this an atypical choice. For example, while Breaking Bad was also the Guardian's number two show, Enlightened didn't make the top thirty (whereas their number one was the Returned, which was mentioned on this website's imported best-of).
You're both right. Men shouldn't meddle because we make children we don't love.
I am. When people argue about the best shows it almost always comes down to these four. It does in part reflect the lower stature Deadwood has had lately, post the critical success of those two AMC shows (hence this site including it as a recommended binge series over Thanksgiving this year.)
I only recently realized he was the guy who played Stephen Hawking in that BBC biopic I saw when it came out like a decade ago. He was quite good in that.
I'd rather not. I think I got enough Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch in The Hobbit.
And since they are all the rage, when do we get The Pirates Before Penzance: Origins?
To be fair, Jones started a White House petition to have Morgan deported. That's certainly he kind of crazy that a cable newsman can see ratings gold in.
