no, that was left extremely ambiguous (whether derek.A killed jesse.B).

poor acting…
i like the show all right so far, but the main obstacle i have toward *really* liking it is the quality of the acting. there are some in the cast who are doing a great job, but the "stars" (the actives) are not. they're actually at their most believable when in their tabula rasa state (which, of course,…
i didn't like firefly that much either. mostly i just didn't care for the "space western" style, and particularly the swashbuckling captain, who i think has precisely one mode of acting and it's one i find hard to watch.
why is savannah so important?
why was little savannah a target? why is the mansonator getting her to spend so much time with john henry? does she teach john henry how to love, and thus pose a threat to skynet?
derek
r.i.p. derek, aka 90210, aka uncle bleedy.
me too.
consensus emerging?
i agree with what i think most of the commenters have said: Zack's review was quite a bit too harsh. also weirdly incongruent with the letter grade. personally, i think it's solidly a B+ episode.
well, this is one of their jokes where the meta level of it greatly increases the humor level. she finally gets a single, tiny line after three years and it turns out to reveal this whacky unlikelihood about who she is that would appear to be purely a convenient contrivance for this one episode. that's bold, and…
remember when liz thought she bought a german television studio? those subtitles were even better!
i guess it was a bit unoriginal after they already just did the montage joke about tracy and jenna going clothes shopping (instead of buying soup for the crew). nevertheless, it was still funny.
VAT? zat's off-foll!
you're forgetting about the best episode from season one, "vick's chip," in which the entire episode is about why cameron saved the chip from vick's exoskeleton (to harvest his memories, which the whole gang then used to shut down that traffic monitoring project).
ugh… seriously, avclub?
i'm halfway through the simpsons episode, and considering bailing on it. i only started watching it because you guys said it was good! you did me wrong!
she might need him for something else.
deus ex machina
one of the earlier commenters used the phrase to describe the escape. did anyone manage to explain that? i mean, how it suddenly went from being impossible to escape to pretty goddamn easy? i feel like i missed something, but i don't want to watch it again.
i totally assumed she was lying.
i agree; jesse's plan is an example of good writing. i was both surprised and intrigued and moved, which is a rare combination on tv.
thank you for pointing that out! that's kinda brilliant, and i definitely missed it before.
how did i miss…
how'd i miss on first viewing that jack and writers go to a goddamn NINJA BAR? with actual NINJAS serving drinks? i need to stop multitasking while watching this show.
the laugh they all share after that line is vastly funnier than the line itself.
