I like that they have her married to a woman. I can't tell you number of maddening conversations I've had with people conflating gender and sexual dysphoria. The notion of someone transitioning to where they're in same-sex relations for some reason really confuses people.

I'm not going to adopt the role of being a mouthpiece for Kanye West, but one can certainly explain their feelings and motivations while still being apologetic about how it came across and who it got wrongfully directed at. I don't see any necessary conflict or disingenuousness there.

I totally know what you mean and I get fascinated by that sort of thing too. Like that quote had to just come as a fully formed thought or mental picture that made him laugh, and comedy writers pull those from time to time, but to do it with the frequency that he did is pretty crazy.
