To be fair, the post-townhouse bombing accident was a very different Weather Underground that was much more disciplined in both execution and selection of location and always went through great efforts to ensure that no one would ever be hurt. There was most certainly a lack of trying after that.

From what I can gather from the trailer, they're playing real loose with the details in such a way that it seems a bit irresponsible to not change the name of The Weather Underground. Sounds a bit like Sarandon is based on Kathy Boudin, but she was apprehended in the immediate aftermath of the Brinks robbery in 1981.
