I think the finale of Murphy Brown was pretty terrific and what I loved most about it was that life just went on like the end of Cheers.  The story wasn't over, just or ability to see it.  In comedies I prefer those to the "Everyone has to move away forever and profess how much they love each other" finales.

NBC's Thursday night comedies are the most diverse group of sitcoms on network TV and they are critically loved.  Yet they struggle to get ratings  Compare that to 20 years ago when NBC Thursday was the whitest night in TV and the undisputed king.  What up wit dat?!

Possible father daughter USA mystery comedy names:

"8. What a ridiculous anticlimax with Jones. I get the showrunners probably like the actor and wanted to tie things back to season one, but god what a limp ending. They broke the bridge for that no-count douchebag?"
