@avclub-eaff9f19dbfd5c5a5807b5dbfa656ec9:disqus : my biggest problem with the album is a technical one: there are a couple of places where he loses the beat.  I don't know if it's because he's getting older and more winded, but I'm baffled that he'd leave in cuts where the beat outruns him and he stumbles to catch up.

Aesop Rock is on my personal list, if that matters.

Well, I'm happy someone else has Aesop Rock on their list.  I was surprised that, after a pretty warm critical reception, he seems to have dropped off everyone's radar.

Absolutely.   With all the press going to the lead actress I figured Henry would be completely ignored at awards time, but really….  look, she's good (especially in that tremendous final scene), but  a good 90% of her performance is edited around her.  Dwight Henry steals the movie for me.

He was admittedly not the worst part of the '99 version of The Cherry Orchard, or at least the only person in the cast who realized it was supposed to be a comedy.

Absolutely loved this episode:
Cerie doesn't recognize numbers over 40.
The Grim Reaper is "probably black" because he wears a hoodie.
Dot Com pitching technical school.
The whole awards ceremony as a way of directly engaging, and responding to, feminist critiques of the show itself.
"Take the disk out and blow on it!"But:

I'd say that about all the major players.  Lester was particularly outstanding.  Billy Bob's Carville is a hoot.  Emma Thompson is sharp as nails.  Larry Hagman, of all people, makes the most of a great minor role.  Bates scored an Oscar nomination, although she's not my favorite in the cast.

No fair leaving out the operator "and" from that quote: it's Wagner's virulent antisemitism and the fact that Hitler loved him -> there were a lot of antisemites in the mid-19th century, but Hitler's love of Wagner gave Wagner's particular brand of antisemitism the gold seal of approval.
If there are any doubts,

There's a pretty excellent (though very specific) book called Louisiana Place Names of Indian Origin that goes into detail about 'Tchoupitoulas'.  Long story short: we're really not sure, though we think it's related to a Choctaw expression 'hacha pit itula', which means "people who live near the river".  But it's

Born-and-raised there, I live on the other side of the country now, and I get what you're saying 100%.
